Bryggen to the Summit: Bergen from Sea Level Up

Start in the quiet green of Nordnes park, then wind along the harbour to Bryggen; the crooked wooden wharf that's been standing since the Hanseatic traders ran this town. From there, the route turns upward. One of Bergen's seven mountains, and enough of a climb to earn what's waiting at the top: the whole city laid out below you, fjord, rooftops and all.

Expect hills. Expect asphalt underfoot one minute and packed dirt the next. This is Bergen — it doesn't do flat.
