About this run
A gentle loop around Oslo's green peninsula — the city's outdoor backyard since the 19th century. We start at Bygdøynes, where five world-class museums sit shoulder to shoulder (Fram, Kon-Tiki, Maritime, Folk, and the new Viking Age Museum).
From there we follow the coast past sailboats and summer cabins to Huk beach, looping inland through old oak forest and the working farm of the Royal Manor (Kongsgården), where the King still grazes cattle. We finish back at the museum cluster if you want to spend the rest of your day exploring them, or take the boat back to Oslo city centre.
