Fløyen the Hard Way

Everyone else takes the funicular. You're running it.

We start at the foot of Fløibanen in the middle of Bergen and climb the old way: up through narrow lanes and white wooden houses, then off the asphalt and onto forest trails winding up the mountainside.

It's a proper climb and the payoff lands all at once at the top: the city, the fjord and the seven mountains laid out below you. Then we ride down, or run it, your call.
